The Jolie Brise, one of the most famous tall ships in the world with strong Teignmouth links, is sailing into the harbour for the first time in 90 years.
She is paying a two-day courtesy visit in May, and there will also be an opportunity for residents to sail on her down the channel.
Interest in the 56ft gaff rigged pilot cutter has increased locally ever since the new Wetherspoon pub in Station Road was named after her.
She was built in Le Havre in 1913 to make fast ocean going passages, and was the last boat to carry the Royal Mail under sail.
