POLICE have confirmed they found the body of a man in woodland near Kingskerswell.

A police spokesperson has confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed. His death is not thought to be suspicious.

Emergency services were called to Kingskerswell yesterday afternoon (Friday) following reports for the welfare of a man.

The police spokesperson said: ‘Police were notified at around 2.20pm on Friday, March 25 for a concern for welfare of a man in Kingskerswell. Officers carried out searches assisted by the police helicopter.

‘The body of a man was located in woodland in Kingskerswell.

‘The next of kin have been informed. The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.’
