A POPULAR children’s play area in Bovey Tracey has fully reopened in time for May half-term.

The play area at Mill Marsh Park was closed in January after being damaged by flood water following a series of storms.

In the months that followed, Bovey Tracey Town Council set about repairing the popular play area, with the space partially reopening in late April.

However, the zip-wire remained fenced off, while contractors replaced parts of the rubberised safety surface and reinstalled the fencing with deeper foundations.

And the work has been compelted.

‘All the repairs have been carried out and safety inspections passed so thanks to everyone for their efforts, their patience and support’, the council said.

‘Enjoy the summer and, please, use the bins or take your litter home’, the council added.
