THE weather was 'horrendous', but Teignmouth police community support officer Liz Francis battled through gales and rain on her bike in a big London charity ride.

'It was an amazing day, and the weather was so bad the planned 100-mile route was cut by 14 miles. I did not have the joy of Box Hill or Leith Hill but the underwater cycling made up for that,' she quipped.<
