MORE beach than first thought could avoid the chop in the next phase of rail resilience works between Teignmouth and Holcombe, new Network Rail plans have revealed.

A fresh batch of consultations got going in Dawlish Warren on Monday, with engineers showing off a 10-metre-long scale model of the revised coastline plans.

Network Rail bosses want to hear the thoughts of residents, communities, businesses and rail users as part of the discussions, which run for six weeks until March 1.
