POLICE have just released CCTV images of four people they want to speak to in connection with an assault in Newton Abbot.

The incident happened in October but officers investigating the incident have now released the images as part of their inquiries into reports of assaults on a man and a woman.

The incident happened between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Saturday October 18 on Devon Square.

The man and woman reported being kicked and punched.

The man sustained significant facial, head and knee injuries, and the woman suffered minor head injuries. Both had to attend hospital for treatment.

Officers investigating the incident would like to identify the people pictured as they believe they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

A spokesman said: ‘We are aware that the quality of the images is low, however at this time these are the only images we have and hope that the public may still be able to assist.’
