FIREFIGHTERS were called to a telehandler fire near Ashburton on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred shortly before 8pm on June 14, prompting a response from crews based at Bovey Tracey, Buckfastleigh and Danes Castle fire stations.
Two fire engines and a water carrier were mobilised to the scene.
On arrival, firefighters found the telehandler well alight and immediately began firefighting operations.
Crews used two hose reel jets, an environmental protection pack and small tools to bring the blaze under control.
As part of the response, firefighters also dug a trench to contain fuel runoff and prevent environmental contamination.
The fire was successfully extinguished, and the incident was brought to a safe conclusion.
