A NEWTON Abbot social club is hoping to attract new members following a rebrand.

The former Constitutional Club in Union Street now goes by ‘Club at No. 8’.

The venue is being promoted as a welcoming community space with no political affiliation, open to everyone.

Steward Debbie said the club is keen to emphasise its inclusive approach and encourage more local residents to get involved.

Families are particularly welcome, with a dedicated children’s area planned as part of ongoing refurbishment work.

The club hosts regular social events including monthly quizzes, meat draws and pensioners’ lunches, and is also available for private hire for weddings, christenings, wakes and other special occasions.

A social night will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 7pm onwards.
