A TEIGNMOUTH am-dram player has run the gamut of emotions after a right old farce involving her beach hut electricity bill soaring from £9 to more than £1,000 a month.

Shell-shocked Angela Healy found herself playing out a comedy with tragic elements when her supplier rocketed her direct debit payments...and without warning too.

The non-plussed member of the Teignmouth Players sought help from a consumer helpline run by a national newspaper to bail her out.
