A 40-YEAR-OLD Dawlish man has admitted a series of frauds over a two year period totalling £76,000.

At Exeter Crown Court, Christopher Matanle, of Morningside, Dawlish, pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud between June 2021 and June 2023.

Matanle defrauded £51,300 from Hope Ania Entertainment Ltd in Dawlish while in the position as general manager.

He also admitted a second fraud charge against that company where £7,400 was defrauded and a third count against Claus the Musical in which he gained £17,600 by fraud.

Matanle was bailed and will be sentenced in August.

Judge David Evans warned him that ‘immediate imprisonment is a distinct likelihood’ and said the defendant needed to get his affairs in order.
