VOLUNTEERS operating Teignmouth's CCTV system are struggling to cope with technical problems with the system.

Frustrated operators are finding it tough to cope with some cameras giving poor quality images and others blacking out.

Cllr Terry Falcao told members of the town council's finance and general purposes committee on Tuesday: 'This is demotivating the volunteers who are not able to carry out their duties because, despite their best efforts, they have a constant stream of cameras blacking out.'
