THE owner of a gym who is
providing online training for his
members has asked us to clarify
that he is still helping to keep
keep people fit and well through
lockdown.
Stephen Chandler and his
wife, Nichola, may have had to
keep their Pride Fitness Gym
in Dawlish closed to the public
due to Covid restrictions and
lockdown, but they are providing
online training sessions for their
members.
They are also providing tailor-
made classes to help anyone
joining them so that they can
train at home, even if they have
no equipment themselves.
Part of the gym’s complex
consists of a cafe (the kitchen
@ pride) and a recent planning
application has been made for
one of the units at the pride
site to be converted for Paella
Delivered which has applied
for change of use to hot food
takeaway to continue their service
from the site at Shutterton
Bridge, Exeter Road, Dawlish.
‘Since we started last year due
to the various lockdowns we’ve
had to keep the gym closed for
more than we’ve been able to
open, but we are determined to
provide our gym service to our
members and anyone who wants
to join us,’ says Stephen.
He has asked us to clarify that
having the Paella Delivered team
operating from one of the units at
the gym site will complement all
that is offered at the site and that
the gym is continuing and will
re-open after lockdown.
When they are allowed to open
the gym again may become
clearer following the Government
announcement expected
next week.
