FIRE crews dealt with a car which was in flames on Newton Road, Bishopsteignton, just after 9am this morning (Sunday).

Fire Control reports: ‘Two Fire appliances from Teignmouth attended reports of a vehicle on fire on Newton Road in Bishopsteignton.

‘On arrival crew found one car on the public highway to be well alight and set about using a hose reel jet, a CAFS jet (compresed air foam nozzle) and small tools to extinguish the fire.

‘The cause of the fire was accidental.’
