Teign Men A 5, PGSOB C 1

Teign Men A started their final league game of the season, against PGSOB C, confidently, and using the full width of the pitch Joss Chappell and Tom Price attacked down the flanks while Dominick Spayne and Jordan Hellier sought openings through the middle.

In his final game before retirement, Pete Brooks was keen to sign off with a goal. He missed twice early on before opening the scoring.

The speedy PGSOB attack caused some alarm in Teign’s defence, while at the other end, Brooks and Nathan Full continued to create chances but found PG’s young keeper in good form.

However, Brooks found a way past him twice more before the break to complete a first half hat-trick.

Early in the second half Charlie Judge fed the ball down the right flank and the resulting cross to Nathan Full was dispatched with aplomb.

A fine reverse-stick effort from Glen Hilidge was one of many close efforts for Teign, and Full seemed to have added his second before the keeper deflected the shot wide.

Spayne extended Teign’s lead, but it was PG who had the final say when keeper Liam Town was beaten in the closing minutes of the game to make the final score 5-1.
