COCKINGTON Riding Club members were out in force on Saturday for the presentation night and annual meeting.

Taking place at the RBL Club, Kingsteignton, it was an extra-special occasion as the club was celebrating its 50th anniversary.

‘This year has been a very successful one,’ said chairman Vanessa Butt.

‘All our events were well attended, both by competitors and supporters, particularly the 50th anniversary competitions, such as the winter dressage at Centrefield, the jump cross and express eventing.’

On the night, more than 100 cups, trophies and rosettes were presented to juniors and seniors, with many individuals receiving a clutch of awards.

Guest of honour for the evening was Lord Clifford of Chudleigh, who allows the club to use Bellamarsh as its showfield.
