WORK has started on a new £1million iconic building in the centre of Teignmouth.

It has taken seven years of hard work by volunteers to make the renovation of Teignmouth and Shaldon Museum a reality, and it should become a landmark.

The premises will become the first new public building in the town since the war, and Torquay-based builders Rokbuild have been given the contract.
