POLICE are appealing for witnesses in connection with reports of criminal damage to the play area at a Kingsteignton park.

The newly laid and repaired flooring in the Clifford Park play area was damaged between Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20.

A similar incident also occurred March 27 in the play park where the floor was damaged, police say.

A spokesperson for the Newton Abbot Neighbourhood Team said: ‘Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to contact the Police via the Devon & Cornwall Police website or by calling 101 quoting reference 50250130202.

Owned and maintained by Kingsteignton Town Council, Clifford Park had a revamp in August 2022, with a new children’s play area having been installed.
