A CALL has gone out for volunteers to help run Dawlish Community Transport.

The charity is asking for volunteers to become trustees to help run the vital service which helps people who need help with mobility.

Volunteers are needed to fulfil roles as trustees of the organisation which offers accessible and affordable transport to those unable to use public transport and where no other suitable transport is available.

The service is available to all age groups and abilities.

It covers a wide area from Kenton to Shaldon and Bishopsteignton.

There are vacancies for new volunteer trustees to ‘lead and agree’ how the service is managed.

Office manager Sally Preston said: ‘Trustees are needed to continue building our board and support our best chance of shaping and fulfilling its purpose into the future, making rounded decisions, thinking creatively and positively, together.’
