KINGSKERSWELL academic Dr Vicki Goodwin has been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s honours list.

Dr Goodwin is a senior research fellow at the University of Exeter’s medical school, and has been awarded an MBE for services to physiotherapy.

Her work as a physiotherapist specialises in the care of older people, and her main research interests are around the rehabilitation of older people, including those with dementia. She particularly specialises in areas including rehabilitation after falls, working towards ensuring older people can have the best quality of life possible.
