ANOTHER of Devon’s charities received a cheque worth hundreds this week thanks to the generosity of a ukulele club.
Descending upon the Old Rydon Inn as is usual, Newton Abbot Ukulele Club were joined by Cara Jones, volunteer manager for Devon Air Ambulance, who received a cheque worth £200 on behalf of the charity from the club.
Cara gave a thorough presentation detailing all there is to know about the charity; a presentation that was warmly received by the ukulele players.
The club, which came into being in 2008, raises funds by performing charity gigs, such as those in residential homes.
