Devon is coming alive with spooky goings-on this October as venues, pubs, footpaths and even a library take on a ghostly vibe to celebrate Halloween 2026.
Across the region, there’s so much for adults, kids and families to do from “banishing ghosts” to a bottomless brunch in one spooky venue.
In collaboration with Devon Escape, Halloween at the Museum is taking place in Newton Abbot Museum this month. There’s a mystery to be solved plus haunted objects and ghosts to discover at the venue.
This day out is “perfect for families, puzzle-lovers, and ghost-hunters ages 8 and up”, the venue’s website explains.
They added: “Your job is to explore the museum, follow the clues, and work out which object is causing all the mischief. Can you and your team solve the mystery, banish the ghost, and bring peace back to the museum before it causes even more chaos?”
Spooky snacks will be provided on your visit and families are encouraged to dress up in Halloween attire if they wish, but you don’t have to.
It’s open on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31 – and booking is essential, you can find out more here:
