FLEUR the spooked cat rescued twice by her charity carers has found a home in Newton Abbot.

The diminutive and pregnant four-year-old ginger was taken in by Teignbridge and Totnes Cats Protection after her owners were evicted from their home in Dawlish.

She duly gave birth to her litter in care but ran off after being frightened by an intruder at the fosterer’s home.

It took six agonising days to recapture the traumatised Fleur who was happy to be re-united with her three bewildered kittens.

They have now been found homes, as has their long-suffering mum.

And the proud owner of the cat with a troubled past is freelance photographer Alan Craig who has been delighted to have taken a string of fond shots of the the latest addition to his household on the Buckland estate.
