PARENTS have set up an appeal for new play equipment at Starcross Primary School.
The school’s PTFA has set a target of £7,500 to provide new, much-needed equipment to transform the playground.
Previous equipment had become old and unsafe and had to be removed.
Now, the ambitious Crowdfunder campaign aims to install a Trim Trail, a series of fun, challenging, and age-appropriate physical activities designed to promote balance, coordination, strength, and overall fitness.
A PTFA spokesman said: ‘We aim to provide the children of Starcross Primary School with exciting and safe playground equipment that will enhance their gross motor skills and keep them active and engaged.
‘This new equipment will encourage outdoor play, improve physical development, and support the children’s well-being by making break times more enjoyable and active.
‘The more money we can raise, the bigger/better trail we can purchase.’
