CHILDREN in Exminster enjoyed a visit from Santa riding on a steam engine.

The Santa Tour has become a firm favourite in the village in the run up to Christmas thanks to the organisers at Exminster Pre-School and the steam engines from Berrybrook Motors.

Every year the pre-school partners with Berrybrook Motors to put on the parade of steam and vintage vehicles which transport Santa around the village.

It is the pre-school’s main fundraising event of the year and includes stops along the way for hot chocolate and mulled wine as well as treat bags an photo opportunities with Santa and the steam engines.

A pre-school spokesman said: ‘All. funds raised will go straight back into the pre-school providing early years education for the children of Exminster.

‘The Santa Tour has become a real community event.

‘Thank you so much to everyone who braved the weather to come out to support this wonderful village event.

‘The team at Berrybrook did us proud again.

'All the pink ladies at pre-school pulled out all the stops to serve refreshments and walk along side the engines.

‘There is so much work that goes on behind the event that goes unseen but is really appreciated.

‘But to see all the children’s faces light up when they see Santa dancing on a steam engine makes it all worthwhile.’
