A NEW-LOOK roundabout lies at the entrance to Bovey Tracey.

Currently hidden by cones and barriers, the revamped feature replaces the tired and worn-down island at the crossroads in Monks Way.

The original design featured railway sleepers, which over time were rotting away and were in danger of falling into the road.

Town councillor George Gribble, who is also a county councillor and sits on the highways committee, explained the new roundabout had cost some £18,000 and it had taken some while to secure funding.
