A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon following a collision in Bishopsteignton.

Police were called at around 1.30pm on Monday, May 18, after reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Newton Road, Bishopsteignton.

Paramedics and the air ambulance also attended the scene.

The female motorcycle rider was taken to hospital by air ambulance with what are currently believed to be serious injuries, Devon & Cornwall Police have said.

A road closure remains in place at Church Street while enquiries continue at the scene
