A FLOOD Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the River Teign area.
The agency warns flooding is possible for the Rivers Teign, Lemon and Bovey and coastal streams from Babbacombe in Torquay to Kenton.
The EA is urging residents to ‘be prepared”, monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.
A spokesman said: ‘Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.’
