VOLUNTEERS with Dartmoor Search and Rescue in Ashburton recently helped in the search for a missing nine-year-old boy.

The Good Friday shout saw members mobilised to the Plainmoor area of Torquay on Friday 3.

The team carried out a 300-metre wide search of the area surrounding the home address of the boy.

Three team vehicles were sent to coordinate the search whilst team members made their way to the RV.

Following a social media post by Devon & Cornwall Police appealing for information, the young boy was found after his location was reported by the mother of one of his friends.

More than 20 of the charity's volunteers were involved in the incident.
