MORE than 1,000 homes across Teignbridge are without power, now many of them have been warned they may have to wait until 6pm tomorrow (Saturday).

While the Red Warning has been lifted, all of Devon is still under an Amber Warning of poor weather until 6pm tonight (Friday).

Around 750 properties in the area between Bovey Tracey, Widecombe in the Moor and Moretonhampstead are still reported to be without power after Storm Eunice passed through, according to Western Power Distribution. 

The company had hoped to restore their power by this afternoon. But in a later update this has been amended to by 6pm tomorrow.

The latest information from the company says power has been restored to many homes, but in the Dawlish, Kenton and Dawlish Warren areas 401 further homes are still waiting for power.

These home have been warned some may have to wait until 6pm tomorrow (Saturday).
