HOW many burglaries were reported last year?

A Freedom of Information (FOI) request shows that the number of residential burglaries reported to Devon & Cornwall Police in 2025 was 2,376.

By comparison, in 2024, there were 2,584 reported burglaries and 2,207 in 2023, the FOI request also shows.

The number of arrests for residential burglary in 2025 was 586.

In 2024, the number of arrests was 607, and in 2023 it was 555.

The average response time to emergency residential burglary incidents in 2025 was 12 minutes and 26 seconds, whereas the response time to priority incidents was 36 minutes and 51 seconds.
