A PARADE of pasties will kick-start the festivities at this year’s Newton Abbot Autumn Fair.
The popular event, which takes place tomorrow, will feature live music, lots of stalls and fun games.
Mayor Cllr Ken Purchase will join forces with councillors and other dignitaries for a special procession of pasties, which will start in Devon Square and make its way into the centre of town.
The homemade goodies will be cut up and shared with members of the public for a small donation which will go to Cllr Purchase’s chosen charities.
Budding chefs can put their skills to the test by coming up with the best cheese straws in a bake off challenge.
Hopefuls will need to take their straws to the main stage in Courtenay Street by 12.45pm to be judged.
Cahoots will be entertaining the crowds with live music before Appalachian cloggers Shuffle the Deck take to the stage near the Clock Tower.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at the cheese rolling and cheese skittles competitions in the Market Square.
Youngsters will be kept occupied with face painting and balloon modelling.
