WITH paint brush in hand, or roller if that’s your fancy, people showed out en masse for The Lodge’s special ‘Volunteer Day’.
The beloved indoor skatepark invited people to join them on Monday, October 16, to help with odd jobs in and around their Newton Abbot premise.
The principle task, though there were several, was giving the seating/cafe area a fresh coat of paint: Dulux Warm Pewter to be exact.
The re-decoration comes ahead of a planned revamp of the kitchen, air fryers for which have been delivered and are waiting to be properlly installed.
With a spruced up seating area and said air fryers, The Lodge can again offer an assortmentof hot food: chips and chicken nuggets and the like.
‘Within an hour we have covered most of it!’ said Nikki Taylor, Chairman of The Lodge charity.
‘We have the air fryers in the kitchen now and hopefully, hopefully by half term we will be ready
‘Thank you to everyone that came down to help’ she added.
