BUS company Stagecoach has announced timetable changes in Teignbridge which come into force next month.

Across the network, the changes, which come into force on April 5. have been made, the firm says, to ‘strengthen punctuality and improve overall service reliability’

Running times have been carefully reviewed and adjusted where necessary to better reflect prevailing traffic conditions and journey patterns, helping services operate more consistently and reducing the risk of delays.

On selected routes, frequencies have also been refined to better match customer demand throughout the day, ensuring resources are deployed where they are needed most while maintaining connectivity for local communities.

The updates form part of Stagecoach’s 'ongoing commitment to delivering a dependable, high-quality bus network’ across the South West, responding to customer feedback and continuous performance monitoring to ‘ensure services remain fit for purpose’.

Changes are as follows:

Service B Monkerton – Exminster via City Centre

Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality and a slight frequency reduction during the Monday to Friday late afternoon and early evening.

Service 2 Exeter – Newton Abbot via Dawlish

The 2310 Saturday journey from Newton Abbot to Teignmouth will be extended through to Exminster, providing a later last journey beyond Teignmouth and provide consistency with the Monday to Friday timetable.

The 0640 Monday to Friday journey from Dawlish to Exeter will be withdrawn due to close proximity to other services and many departure times on Sunday and Public Holidays are amended.

The 1755 Monday to Friday journey from Newton Abbot to Teignmouth will become a college days only journey and extended to Exminster.

Service 7/92 Exeter – Dartmouth via Newton Abbot and Totnes

Service 7 will operate up to every hour between Exeter and Dartmouth via Newton Abbot and Totnes, providing a number of new journeys with through tickets and no requirement to change buses.

There are some additional early morning and evening journeys introduced to the timetable between Matford Park and Ride and Newton Abbot.

Service 38 Exeter – Buckfastleigh – Plymouth

Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality and a small number of departure times have changed, especially on Saturday, as a result of changes to running times.

Service 39 Bovey Tracey – Newton Abbot

Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality.

The 1855 Monday to Friday and 1825 Saturday journeys from Newton Abbot to Bovey Tracey are extended through to Matford Park and Ride, providing a later last journey opportunity for Chudleigh Knighton and Chudleigh residents.

Service 38 Exeter – Buckfastleigh – Plymouth

Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality.

A small number of departure times have changed, especially on Saturday, as a result of changes to running times.
