A HEAVY police presence in Newton Abbot today, Monday, saw nine more youths excluded from the town centre in their latest crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

On their Facebook page Newton Abbot police said this evening: ‘A productive foot patrol for the neighbourhood team this afternoon which involved engaging with local businesses and members of the public in the town centre.

‘They both raised their separate concerns about the town, a further dispersal order has been put in place today and nine more youths excluded from the town centre for 48 hours.’

This comes a week after eight other youths were excluded when the police said: ‘We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour and will deal robustly with anyone who is causing a nuisance.'
