ONE man’s fight to accommodate 50 Syrian refugee families in the Newton Abbot area came a step closer this week.

Russell Cornish, a spiritual teacher in his 60s from North Bovey, heard that Teignbridge Council will consider his SOS call at its full council meeting at the end of this month.
