A NEW community project in Newton Abbot to help people reuse their broken household items launches in May.
Residents in the town will be able to take advantage of the new repair café thanks to the Cwtch Hub, formerly the Plot Hub.
Taking place on the last Saturday of every month, the project is a free or low-cost community event where people can fix broken items with the help of volunteers.
‘This is all about bringing people together to repair instead of replace’, the Cwtch Hub said.
‘Reducing waste, sharing knowledge and helping to make things last longer’, the Hub added.
And the Cwtch Hub is looking for volunteers to help with repairs.
For more information, and to express an interest in helping, visit the Cwtch Hub’s website - www.thecwtchhub.co.uk/repaircafe - and complete the online form.
