POLICE have been drafted in from Newton Abbot and surrounding areas to help look for missing Torquay-based junior doctor Rose Polge, 25.

A major search for Dr Polge, who works at Torbay Hospital, began on Friday evening after her car was found abandoned at Anstey’s Cove, Torquay.

A police spokesman said in Newton Abbot today (Monday): ‘We are supporting the efforts of colleagues in the bay. A number of officers have been tied up with searches on this side of the coast.’
