A MAN is due to appear at court today charged in connection to an incident in Newton Abbot town centre in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Aidan Seal, aged 27, of Berrys Wood, Newton Abbot, has been charged with two counts of section 18 wounding with intent and one count of possessing a bladed article in a public place.

He is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today, May 5.

Police were called just after midnight on Monday, May 4 to a premises on Highweek Street, following a report of an altercation involving a group of people where two people were assaulted with a bladed weapon.
