A MAN from Dartmouth is to stand trial at Exeter Crown Court accused of an assault in Newton Abbot.

Tommy Hockridge, aged 34, of Barton Way, Dartmouth, pleaded not guilty to a single count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offence is alleged to have taken place in Newton Abbot between June 25 and 28, 2022.

Judge Timothy Rose set a timetable for the progress of the case and a provisional trial date of June 13, 2023.

He released Hockridge on bail.
