THE A38 is blocked northbound and motorists are facing long delays following a two-vehicle crash near Chudleigh Knighton this morning.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called to reports of a road traffic collision at around 10.20am on Wednesday, October 7.

The crash happened on the northbound carriageway near Chudleigh Knighton.

One person has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, say Devon and Cornwall Police.

The A38 northbound is currently blocked, with long delays reported between the Chudleigh Knighton turn-off and the Kingsteignton turn-off.

Local road closures have been put in place while emergency services manage the scene.

The incident remains ongoing and motorists are advised to expect significant delays in the area.
