Borrowing items from Teignmouth Library will soon be much quicker and easier, thanks to new self-service technology being introduced by Devon County Council.Kiosks are to be installed this month so residents will be able to check their own items in and out of the library. Staff will show people how to use the new facilities, which will also allow them more opportunity to help people with their choices, rather than having to spend lots of time behind an old fashioned desk issuing items.?Wifi will also be installed at the same time as the self service kiosks. The introduction of these new technologies is part of a county-wide project to modernise the library service.??
