A CHARITY based on a medieval working hill farm deep in the Dartmoor National Park is hosting a volunteer day this month.
Shallowford Farm will be hosting a hedge laying event from 10am to 4pm on Thursday, February 26.
Hot drinks, biscuits, and pasties provided, with waterproofs and wellies available to borrow at request.
There are approximately half a million miles of hedgerow in the UK.
On Dartmoor they are partly responsible for turning the land into the mosaic that’s so iconic.
‘Join us to learn how to plant hedges in this ancient landscape, and spend a day reconnecting this invaluable network’ Shallowford Farm said.
