A HOTEL off the A38 near Kennford is seeking to expand its accommodation and restaurant.
Submitted by the Exeter Court Hotel, application 25/00008/FUL is seeking permission to erect a new building to provide additional accommodation.
Permission to extend the existing restaurant area is also being sought.
Teignbridge District Council will make a decision on the application in May.
A previous application was made in 2020, but, given the impact of Covid-19 on the hotel industry, it was not carried out.
The design and access statement for 25/00008/FUL says that the hotel’s aspiration is to ‘create a modern appearance that takes inspiration from the existing site.’
Furthermore, the proposal seeks to use ‘sustainable methods of construction to minimise the environmental impact of the building and reduce the running costs.’
