CALLING all cyclists... Rowcroft Hospice has announced it is launching a new cycle challenge for fundraisers.

Ride for Rowcroft is a 24km ride from Newton Abbot Racecourse which is set to take place on October 1.

From the sporting venue, the route snakes up to Bovey Tracey to Chudleigh Knighton and back to the racecourse via the Stover Trail.

Daniel Robson, the hospice’s events manager, said: ‘Ride for Rowcroft is ideal for people wanting to complete their first cycle challenge, spend a morning cycling through the countryside with friends or attempting to beat a personal best.

‘The challenge is ideal for beginners and intermediates alike,’ he said.

The event starts at 8.30am and is open to people aged over 16.
