AN inspection of the flood-damaged play area in Bovey Tracey has generated ideas for improving the site's resilience, the town council has said.
Bovey Tracey Town Council has entered talks with specialist contractors and insurers over the future of the children's play area at Mill Marsh Park to ‘ensure the best quality is achieved without creating a punitive bill for council tax payers’, the council said.
A spokesperson for the council said: ‘A solution might seem to be taking a long time, but it’s vital that the correct way forward is chosen, not the quickest.
‘Please bear with us and keep out of the play area as your safety cannot be guaranteed and our insurance may not cover you for any injury or loss resulting from entering the closed facility.
‘Thank you’.
