MEMBERS of Kingsteignton History Society enjoyed part one of a talk on Bygone days in Newton Abbot. 

Historian Dave Bowen gave an insight into the last with his presentation of historic views of the town and snippets of information about the scenes on view made for an interesting and enjoyable evening.

Among the images was Station Cottages which were destroying in bombing during the Second World War and the Penguin Inn which is now Penn Inn. 

The second part of the talk is on Tuesday March 26 at 7.30pm at the URC Hall in Church Street.
