TEIGNMOUTH harbour commissioners will be having some direct spiritual guidance in future.
And the Rev Dr Sue Astbury, who has just been appointed as a new commissioner, will also be bringing her experience as a high flying executive in industry, to the commission.
She is believed to be the first member of the clergy in the country to sit on a harbour commission, and as a lover of the water, is looking forward to her role.
'I have been on the water in boats for 50 years ever since my parents brought me down here on holiday when I was a few months old,' said Sue, who lives in Shaldon and is a keen rower.
