FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a shed fire in Exminster on Wednesday morning.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the shed well alight shortly after 10.30am and sent crews from Middlemoor and Danes Castle to the scene.

After assessing the situation, firefighters requested a third appliance from Middlemoor to provide additional water.

Crews used two 51mm hose jets to extinguish the blaze.

The incident was brought to a close at around 1.30pm.

The fire caused around 50 per cent damage to the shed.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
