X FACTOR bosses have been blasted for not allowing finalist Luke Friend to meet fans in Teignmouth, where he lives.

Despite being labelled the 'homecoming' tour, arrangements made by producers at Thames TV did not feature the singer anywhere in the town other than his family home.

Instead producers decided to head to Newton Abbot for filming, choosing Lemon Jeli as the first venue where Luke performed one of his first solo gigs.

Fellow students from Coombeshead College, Newton Abbot, were able to catch up with him but fans in Teignmouth, who have supported him through the competition, were not.
