Fun for all the family is promised for the return of the Newton Abbot Racecourse Country Show this Saturday.

With several event zones to enjoy this year, there really is something for everyone.

First up is the Agricultural and Country Zone with a 4x4 display, the Country Sports Shop rifle range, Mason Kings’ garden machinery, country demonstrations and more.

The Gun Quarter will feature a variety of guns, and, new for 2022, is the BBQ Shack with a range of Traeger and ProQ barbecues for cooking enthusiasts.

It will be demonstrations galore with a host of entertainment including: Devon and Cornwall Bushcraft Cordage demonstration with Jono Holland; farrier and thatching demonstrations; Victor Pitts Sheepdog handler, Dartmoor Hill Pony Display Team and the return of the Recycled Racehorse Falconry Team.

There’ll be lots of activities to get involved with too, including archery, pony rides with Humaryn Shetland Ponies, train rides from Exmouth Miniature Railway plus bouncy castles and trampolines in the children’s play zone.

It wouldn’t be a Country Show without some wonderful local shopping to enjoy.

This year’s event will feature a fantastic mix of stalls outside including Gin & Co, English Spirit, and Pawfect Bags to name just a few.

Inside will see the return of the popular Craft and Gift Fair featuring 60 local craft and gift companies selling a fantastic range of handcrafted products including sweet treats, yummy cakes, pet supplies, jewellery, homeware, books and more.

A day at the Country Show can be hungry work, so there’ll be a mix of great food on offer and a beer garden to refresh and recharge in before continuing the day.

Offering a great value day out for all ages this year, tickets are only £5 when booking in advance or £6 on the day, with all under 16s going free.

Gates for this year’s Newton Abbot Country Show open at 10am with a jam-packed day of family fun through until 4pm.
